Half Marathon
Scenic, mostly flat, and fast 13.1-mile course. Finish on the field at Raley Field! (weather permitting).
Cross the historic Tower Bridge twice! A great course for your first half marathon or as a training run for a spring or summer marathon.
Course Description
The Fleet Feet Shamrock’n Half Marathon consists of a 13.1 mile run/walk that starts and finishes at Raley Field, home of the Sacramento River Cats minor league baseball team. Runners pass several iconic landmarks including the historic Tower Bridge, the State Capital, the American River bike trail, Old Sacramento, and the bike trail promenade along Front Street. You can almost hear the roar of the crowd at Raley Field as you return over the Tower Bridge and enter Raley Field from the center field gate for a finish along the third base line. Aid Stations:
There will be five aid stations on course serving both water and Gatorade G Series Pro. The locations of the aid stations are:
- Mile 2.75 - On 13th St. between G St. and H St.
- Mile 4.75 - Bike trail crossing Del Paso Blvd.
- Mile 7.5 - In Discovery Park
- Mile 9.25 - In Old Sacramento on 2nd St. and Neasham.
- Mile 11 - On Front St. near the Auto Museum.
Course rules:
- NO dogs on the course or at Raley Field
- NO baby joggers or strollers in the race
- NO non-registered runners
- Course not recommended for wheelchairs
- Course Time Limit: 4 Hours from the Wave 4 Start Time. Roads open to traffic at 12:30 pm.
